Due to the geopolitical position of the region, the main route to Armenia is on air. The international airport Zvartnots, which is 15 km from Yerevan, offers departures to many destinations. It has a certificate of ICAO category of 24 hours. Since 2002, the airport Zvartnots is managed by the Argentine Corporation of America headed by Argentine-Armenian Eduardo Eurnekian.
